Our firm is looking to add a talented, experienced and motivated funeral director(s) and/or interns to our team. Our staff work as a team to create a seamless and meaningful experience for the families in our care. While this can be a comprehensive funeral director/intern attendant position(s) (arranging, directing, pre-need, embalming, etc.), we seek candidates who have a passion and focus on the care of families and meeting their needs.

Candidates must have:
- The appropriate state funeral licensure or and/or be actively working towards licensure if applying for a funeral director/internship position.
*If applying for a funeral attendant/assistant position the candidate must have an Associates Degree or higher.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with families during time of need and create and maintain a premier level of client family satisfaction.
- Proficient with computers and technology
- Ability to manage a caseload/multiple caseloads (or the ability to learn) while creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Consider community charitable involvement and other similar commitments while employed.
*Our staff is not required to facilitate night removals and/or nightly preparatory work.
** Bachelors Degree is preferred but not required for funeral directors/interns.

Morello Funeral Home Inc. is interviewing Licensed Funeral Directors and/or interns to join our staff. We are looking for an innovative and self-motivated individual to fill a comprehensive position that encompasses arranging, directing, pre-need, embalming, transfers, crematory operator, etc. Financial compensation will be based upon the experience level of the candidate and includes pre-need commissions, employer paid health benefits, disability, life insurance and an employer matched retirement plan. The position includes a FIVE day work week with alternating on call week, paid vacation days and paid sick days.

Candidate qualifications:
-PA Funeral Director Licensure, or near completion of PA internship.
-PA insurance license or willingness to obtain license

West-Central Pennsylvania Funeral Home locations seeking a Licensed Funeral Director (or Intern)

to assist with all phases of funeral service for approx. 160 calls per year.

Future ownership of 4 locations is possible for the right person upon an owner's retirement.

Job Details: Will mainly assist the owner(s) in funeral directing duties such as: removals, embalming, layouts, working visitation hours and funeral/memorial services; making funeral arrangements will be limited, but will have to be familiar with the process. The candidate will need to be comfortable making facility removals on their own.

The position will also require related funeral home duties such as: cleaning, mowing, washing vehicles, installing cemetery monuments, death certificate errands, making funeral stationary and memorial videos, website management, etc. (must be computer proficient).
We are looking for a hard working candidate who enjoys funeral service and doing what it takes to satisfy the families that we serve. (both traditional and cremation).

We offer:
Competitive Salary based on experience...

Schedule - Work appx. 40-45 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed. Will work on a rotating on-call schedule of appx. every other evening, and appx. every other weekend. Will be guaranteed at least one weekend per month off.

Paid Vacation and Sick time: (after a 90 day probationary period). First year of employment will offer one week of paid vacation and 4 sick days.

Housing inclusive of most utilities available at second floor residence of one location (if desired)

After one year of employment: Health insurance (for the employee only) will be offered (some co-pay or payroll deduction may be required); enrollment in a retirement plan such as a 401(k).

Other employment benefits may include: dry cleaning/clothing allowance, cell phone allowance, comp time given for working during busy periods or while 'off-call.'
