Webinar Description:

Veterans and their families come with life experiences shaped by service, sacrifice, and a strong sense of identity. In this session, funeral professionals will get practical tools and real-world language to better serve veterans with genuine care and respect. We’ll talk about how military service can influence end-of-life experiences and share simple, meaningful ways - from first contact through preneed and at-need - to build trust through thoughtful recognition and helpful resources.

Spanning nearly twenty years, Nancy Weil has extensive experience in cemeteries, funeral homes, and industry associations. She currently serves as Director of Community Outreach for Rollings and Pinnacle Funeral Services, where she developed and maintains an online Community Outreach Resource Library and a comprehensive training program, Boot Camp: Veteran Training for Funeral Professionals. Participants who complete the course earn certification as Certified Veteran Funeral Professionals.

Previously, Nancy was Membership Director for the Order of the Golden Rule and worked at Veterans Funeral Care, where she sold pre-need services and directed Community Outreach and Grief Support programs. A Certified Grief Management Specialist, she has led grief support programs both in-person and online. Her current program, Healing Hearts, is available on Zoom through over 100 funeral homes.

An experienced professional speaker, Nancy has delivered workshops, keynotes, and webinars for funeral and cemetery professionals, hospice staff, and senior living teams nationwide. For the past 17 years, her column, Random Musings, has appeared in Funeral Home and Cemetery News.
